I painted this 30x36 work in studio, January 2021 during a lunar new year celebration. I added the finishing details a year later. This nonobjective abstract work has a dynamic dark energy, during the time of the new moon, its a good time to release feelings through aggressive expression. The new moon in January is notably one of the physically darkest times of the year. During a new moon especially a lunar new year, can also be an ideal time to welcome new energy and habits into your life. This painting represents the eb & flow of that energy.
